Municipal youth service of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean in partnership with the toy museum the TOYS DISCOVERY MUSEUM of Brussels (Tour & Taxis).

✔️ Introduction:

The Toy Museum, the TOYS DISCOVERY MUSEUM, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic Playmobil toy brand this year. As part of this event, we are offering a youth project aimed at raising awareness among children aged 06 and up to young adolescents (12 years and over) about the history and importance of this emblematic toy, while promoting their creativity and commitment.

✔️ Objectives:

Educate young people about the history and cultural impact of Playmobil.

Encourage children’s creativity and imagination through fun activities.

Promote collaboration and the sharing of ideas among young participants.

✔️ Activities offered:

🔴 Thematic guided tour (by appointment): Organize special guided tours to the Toy Museum, BUT also to the exhibition, highlighting the history of Playmobil, their different evolutions and their impact on society.

🔴 Creative workshops (by appointment): Offer workshops where children can use Playmobil to create their own scenes and stories. They will also be able to play with accessories or decorations for their creations.

🔴 Creation competition (by appointment): Organize a Playmobil creation competition, where young people can present their most original and creative creations. The winners could see their works exhibited at the Toy Museum.

🔴 Meetings with collectors (by appointment): André Van Der Kelen, Patrice Saladin and Richard Blin, passionate Playmobil collectors, they will share their passion with young people, by presenting the collection at the Château and telling anecdotes about the different toys.

Target audience :

Children and adolescents aged 06 to 12 years +, as well as their families.

Calendar :

April 4: 1st day of the exhibition.

By appointment for entertainment.

April 22: Last day of the exhibition.

The youth project of the town of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean in partnership with the toy museum the TOYS DISCOVERY MUSEUM offers a unique opportunity for children and young adolescents to discover and celebrate 50 years of Playmobil while developing their creativity and commitment. We are convinced that this enriching collaboration will help strengthen the links between the Toy Museum and the local youth community in the town of Molenbeek, while providing unforgettable memories for participants.
